WHAT IS ROTARY?
Rotary serves the community, the region and the world. Best of all, it enriches the lives of Rotarians.
Rotary is the Four Way Test. Of the things we think, say or do
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Rotary was the first service club. Today, 1.2 million Rotarians belong to 32,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

OUR LOCAL CLUB HAS:
§ Provided almost 100 scholarships to our high school students
§ Planted over 1000 trees in our town
§ Sponsored more than 60 high school juniors to the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Program (RYLA) at Stockton College
§ Annually supported our Library, Boy Scouts .......etc.
§ Provided support to dozens of worthy organizations needing help
§ Provided food baskets to dozens of needy families
§ Provided more than 7 fully funded Ambassadorial Scholarships for student to study abroad for one year at a college of their choice
§ And much more…..
OUR DISTRICT HAS:
§ Built and supported an orphanage in Santo Domingo
§ Provided more than 100 fully funded Ambassadorial Scholarships for students to study abroad for one year at a college of their choice
§ Provided more than 12,000 dictionaries to third grade students all over South Jersey
§ Provided the Group Study Exchange Program (GSE) allowing business and professional people an opportunity to travel to different countries for periods of four to six weeks, while their counterparts came here
§ Provided the Rotary Youth Exchange Program (each year more than 8000 students 15 ½ to 18 ½ travel to different countries and are hosted by Rotarian families for one academic year for 10 to 12 months)
§ And much more....
ROTARY INTERNATIONAL HAS:
· Through the Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus campaign, eradicated polio throughout most of the entire world. Rotarians and others have contributed more than $500 Million over the last 20 years to this cause.
· Through the efforts of Rotarians and over $50 Million in grants, built clean water and sanitation facilities in several parts of the developing world.
· And much more....
DID YOU KNOW?
Rotary International and the Red Cross are the only non-governmental organizations with permanent seats at the United Nations.
